Details

Details (2002) is from a duo group of Guy Sigsworth and Imogen Heap. This “group” was initially not planned. Instead, Guy Sigsworth started on a project that he titled, “Frou Frou” (pronounced froo froo, and is supposed to be the sound skirts make when they swish). This project was to be written by Guy Sigsworth while various artists from different genres were going to do vocals.
The first person Sigsworth contacted was Heap. The deal was that she was to write lyrics for a track but it must contain the word ‘love’. Through this first session, the track “Flicks” was born. Throughout the year Sigsworth and Heap began working on song after song until they had about half the album done. They later decided to become a group, agreeing that Frou Frou was a perfect name.
Frou Frou disbanded in 2003. There have been conformations from Imogen Heap saying that although they disbanded, they do plan on working on collaborations once more. In 2010, if all goes well, two unreleased songs from the album, Details, will be released. Their titles are: “Deal With It” and “Guitar Song.”

i Megaphone

i Megaphone (1998, re-released in Japan 2002) is Imogen Heap’s debut album. It was titled i Megaphone, because it is an anagram of her name. The three singles were “Getting Scared,*” “Shine,*” and “Come Here Boy.*” (*links to official videos, or live version) Due to lack of promotion funding from her then label, and later the selling of the label, Heap didn’t get the success she deserved with i Megaphone.
Her label, along with all the artists, were then sold to Universal, who dropped Imogen Heap. She then went on for about a year without a “career.” She began writing for her second solo album (later to be known as Speak for Yourself), but the writing was put behind due to working with Guy Sigsworth, and collaborating with different artists.
